The biggest fight of the year is just two days away. By now both camps are done with their training and now finalizing their weight to make weight. Mayweather said that he does not believe McGregor will make weight, causing Mayweather to receive his money via fine.
Both training camps have been entertaining. McGregor's camp followed the Paulie Malignaggi story. Malignaggi, a former two weight boxing champion, joined the McGregor camp in sparring sessions. After verbal exhancged between the two, footage was released from Dana White's Instagram showing McGregor knocking down Malignaggi. Malignaggi has since left the camp with harsh words for McGregor.
Mayweather's camp has been less entertaining. His father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., has said that his son hasn't trained as hard for this fight as the other fights. This caused a lot of the media to say that Mayweather isn't taking this fight seriously. In an interview with Stephen A. Smith, Mayweather also said "I've lost a step" regarding him being 40 years only without having fought in 2 years. Mayweather has uncharacteristically been open to the media, with an interview with Stephen A. Smith along with a interview on Jimmy Kimmel just weeks before the fight.
